Jen Mongolo
Owner, Principal Ecologist & Environmental Planner
Jen’s 20-year journey in natural resources management has taken her from the Pacific Northwest to the Northern Rockies, New England, Central Mexico, Southern California, and back to the Pacific Northwest. Through this journey, she has gained diverse experience that uniquely positions her to address today’s complex environmental challenges.
Jen started her environmental career as a forestry technician in Jackson, Wyoming, in 2004. By 2009, she had completed her graduate studies in New Hampshire and founded Streamscape Environmental. A couple of years later, she closed the business to broaden her knowledge as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Central Mexico.
After finishing the Peace Corps in 2013, Jen reopened Streamscape Environmental. In 2017, she brought Salvador on board as a full partner. This shift allowed her to pursue full-time positions in local government. Over the next seven years, she expanded her expertise and network through key roles with the County of Los Angeles, CA, and the City of Salem, Oregon. Then, in May 2024, Jen decided it was time to fully dedicate herself to environmental consulting through Streamscape Environmental once more.
Jen’s expertise spans land use, urban development, ecological restoration, urban and community forestry, urban ecology, land conservation, geographic information systems, and mitigation banking. She is committed to protecting and restoring natural functions and ecosystem services. Her primary goal is to foster healthier and more resilient communities. Every project she undertakes directly contributes to sustainable and thriving environments.
If you seek a dedicated professional with a holistic approach to environmental management, Jen’s vast experience and commitment to ecological stewardship make her the ideal partner for your project.
